Out Of Love Say “No Fakes Allowed” On New Track

Out Of Love have shared that they are will be releasing their new EP Welcome To The Luv on August 11 via Secret Friends Music Group / Venn Records. It serves as a follow-up to their compilation effort So Far, So Good, which collected their previous two EPs and a handful of extra goodies. One of the most infectiously fun punk bands currently plying their trade on the UK underground circuit, there are going from strength to strength with every passing month. Supporting everyone from Scowl to State Champs, their appeal stretches far and wide, and that looks like it will continue for the foreseeable.

But for now, we have “No Fakes Allowed”. A vibrant mix of brit-pop bounce and caustic pop-punk thrills, it’s a track for those who feel like they don’t belong. Be that in your own skin or in your profession, or even in the scene that you love so much, this is the anthem reminding you that you aren’t alone and never will be.

Vocalist Jack Rogers had this to say about it:

“No Fakes Allowed is about imposter syndrome, not fitting in and believing all the noise your head throws at you. I think we all feel at some point in our lives suffer some form of imposter syndrome. I started getting it terribly, when we started touring. I constantly felt like we didn’t deserve certain opportunities, that we weren’t welcome in certain clicks and to be honest 99.9% was made up by myself.   No Fakes Allowed is for the outsiders”

It follows on from the jaunty “Unplug My Head”, which dropped earlier in the year, and sounds an awful lot like this:

Oh, and Jack hasn’t just been busy with the band. He has also collaborated with Alexisonfire’s Wade MacNeil and offered up his vocals for some music on Netflix’s new show FUBAR featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
