Lonely The Brave Explore “What We Do To Feel” With New Album

Lonely The Brave are one of the UK’s most wonderful exports. For the last decade, the band have been dealing out the sort of euphoric and emotional rock music that touches the heart and ensnares the soul. 2021 saw the start of a new chapter for the band with the release of their third album The Hope List, the first with vocalist Jack Bennett. But now, they are back again and settled into their new groove. And with that groove comes the announcement of a new full-length record.

The album is called What We Do To Feel and will be released on November 10 via Easy Life Records. Guitarist Mark Trotter had this to say about how the album came together:

“You can plan it out as much as you want, but you’re just along for the ride. That’s the most exciting part, seeing what it decided to be. With this album, we’re certainly more mature as people and as a band. That makes sense with everything that has happened since our last one.”

The tracklisting for the album looks like this:

01. “Long Way”
02. “The Lens”
03. “Our Sketch Out”
04. “Victim”
05. “Colour Me Sad”
06. “The Ramp”
07. “In The Well”
08. “Eventide”
09. “Unseen”
10. “The Bear”

And the artwork is like this:

And the first taste of the record is here as well. It’s “The Lens” is it shimmers with the light of the morning sun. A grand piece of galloping heartfelt rock that grips at the arm and squeezes with a sense of support. From the spine-tingling melodies to the glorious chorus refrains, it’s an epic yet intimate song that welcomes the band back wonderfully.

Vocalist Jack Bennett had this to say about it:

“[This is] a track about the way we value each other. It’s different for everyone, and we each have a unique perspective towards the world.”
