Following the release of their fourth full-length album, Datura, in October 2022, Boston Manor has made their highly anticipated return with the group’s first new music since then, dropping the crushing single “Container.”

With the unveiling of new music from the UK mainstays after a year and a half, “Container” heralds a distinct shift in their sound, bringing with it deep-rooted growth and maturity that the five-piece wears well. Infusing their latest release with a larger-than-life feeling, the group crafts a sonic landscape teeming with dream-like synths, an array of distorted guitar tones, and thunderous drum arrangements. Yet amidst this soundscape, vocalist Henry Cox‘s magnetic energy and delivery remain a driving force, propelling each Boston Manor song with a prowess he’s honed throughout the band’s career. His rich vocals layered over the distortion that blankets the track, imbue it with a gritty yet polished quality. Boston Manor has yet again proven that with time, they only get better and grow stronger.

“‘Container’ explores the idea of second chances, the panic that sets in knowing you need to change your world before it’s too late, and you get swallowed up and lost forever,” Cox shares. “It’s about the stagnancy of life creeping up on you and how that can bring about change.”

He continues, “I think it’s really important to write something that people can be immersed in and find some sort of solace in.”

Boston Manor has a healthy handful of performances announced overseas this year, including several festival appearances, including 2000 Trees Festival in the UK in July.
