The Word Alive Unleashes Powerful “Rise (Redux)” Single

The Word Alive is making their mark in the gaming industry. Following the release of their 2023 LP Hard Reset, the metalcore outfit is back to breathe new life into their track “Rise,” which first appeared at League Of Legends World Championship 2018 (also referred to simply as “Worlds.”) The OG track features The Glitch Mob and Mako. The brand-new “Rise (Redux)” now offers the same powerful melodies and motivational vocals with more of their signature alternative flare. Check out the new track below.

“Back in 2018, I received an email asking if I had any interest in working with Riot Games Music to help create the 2018 League Of Legends Worlds anthem. Little did I know that email would change my life and lead to some of the most amazing friendships and career-defining moments of my life,” vocalist Telle Smith shares.

“Rise became the second biggest Worlds anthem in esports history, and a staple amongst not just gamers but music fans worldwide,” Smith continues. “I’m honored to play a role in Rise, but we were always asked over the years if we would make “our own” version. With the 5-year anniversary, we decided to go into the studio and give fans exactly what they’ve asked for as a ‘thank you’ for all of the amazing memories.”

After a short stint throughout Europe and the UK, The Word Alive will be venturing across the U.S. on Asking Alexandria‘s All My Friends North American Tour 2024. Memphis May Fire and Nerv are also on the artist roster. Check out the full list of dates below and secure your tickets here.
