Photo via Big Hit

This is not a drill: BTS are going to perform on Saturday Night Live next month! Yup, you heard that right. The K-pop group are set to appear on the April 13th episode, one day after the release of their new album MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA. Boy, do they know how to celebrate in style.

Make sure you’re tuning in for their very special SNL performance on Saturday April 13th at 11:30pm ET/8:30pm PT on NBC. And if you just can’t get enough, the BTS boys are headed on a North American tour—get the full details here…then keep scrolling for our own K-pop lovin’ Geek Girl Rioter Mel N’s reaction:

“2018 was definitely an amazing year for BTS and it doesn’t look like there are plans of slowing down in 2019. With the sold out Love Yourself-Speak Yourself World Stadium Tour and the announcement of the release of their latest album Map of The Soul : Persona on April 12th, the BTS ARMY are beyond excited!

This afternoon ARMY’s excitement skyrocketed through the atmosphere with one casual announcement made on Saturday Night Live’s Twitter account. Just a picture…but not any picture. BTS will be performing their comeback stage on April 13th, just one day after the release of their album. This is so huge! Being invited to play this stage on SNL means everything. It is so hard to get invited to play on SNL, I think BTS have finally made it in the US. I’m in tears…frapping grown woman sitting here with happy tears for these kids breaking down barriers and making a difference…it’s just incredible…

Big Hit announced yesterday that they are “planning several local promo events” so get ready ARMY, this is only the beginning of an amazing 2019 with BTS.”
